LinMin's bare metal imaging also allows IT professionals to capture the contents of entire disks, store them on the network and restore the system should it become corrupted.

LinMin is ideally suited for IT organizations with limited budgets that manage systems in data centers, Web hosting companies, academic and research institutions, QA labs, systems integrators, system builders, etc.

LinMin takes less than 10 minutes to install, and users typically have provisioned or imaged their first few systems within an hour.

Detailed Product Description
LinMin Bare Metal Provisioning makes it easy for IT Pros to build, deploy, repurpose and recover Windows, Linux and UNIX Servers, Blades, Workstations and Virtual Machines.
LinMin remotely installs Windows, Linux and UNIX on systems without having to use CDs or DVDs, instead using customer-tuned "roles" (e.g., "Windows Web Server", "Red Hat Enterprise Linux Database Server", "Fedora Workstation", "Novell SUSE Linux Enterprise", "Windows XP SP3" or "Ubuntu Office Desktop") that get installed on selected systems.
LinMin's bare metal imaging also allows IT professionals to capture the contents of entire disks, store them on the network and restore the system should it become corrupted, making LinMin a perfect disaster recovery product too.

Combining bare metal provisioning and bare metal imaging in a single solution makes LinMin a revolutionary product that costs less than 10 dollars per system. LinMin will pay for itself in weeks by saving time and IT labor costs while providing consistency, reliability, quality and customer satisfaction that is impossible to match using manual methods.

LinMin is an excellent complement to virtualization management offerings, as customers use LinMin to create, tune and maintain system roles that can then be deployed either to physical systems or to virtual machines. Once installed on virtual machines, customers use the vendors' tools to clone and deploy additional copies of a server workload but keep using LinMin to maintain and update the golden master.

LinMin also has an Application Programming Interface (API) that lets customers or third party solution providers directly access LinMin's bare metal provisioning capabilities without human intervention. As an example, a hosting company can direct LinMin to prepare several systems for a customer within minutes of sign up, without needing an IT Pro to go to each physical system, or without even using the LinMin GUI. The customer can decide the system name, password, configuration, time zone, networking configuration and other unique attributes for each system that will then be provisioned by LinMin.

LinMin is ideally suited for IT Pros with limited budgets that manage systems in data centers, Web hosting companies, academic and research institutions, QA labs, systems integrators, system builder production lines, etc.
LinMin takes less than 10 minutes to install, and users typically have provisioned or imaged their first few systems within an hour, using an intuitive, browser-based user interface.

LinMin is to be installed on an Intel-based system running Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.x or CentOS 5.x. Once installed, LinMin can be used to remotely install the OS (Linux, Windows, UNIX) and capture/restore entire disk images automatically.

Expect to need 4 GB of disk space per OS you plan on provisioning. If you also use imaging, disk usage will go up considerably since you're capturing the contents of disks of other systems.

LinMin Corporation

LinMin provides software that transforms a server into a bare metal provisioning and imaging appliance for Linux , Windows and UNIX servers, blades, PCs, appliances and virtual machines.

LinMin Bare Metal Provisioning is the first truly affordable system provisioning solution that can be implemented by IT organizations of any size with limited budgets, yet its capabilities match or exceed solutions costing many times more.

Simply outstanding product on 10/28/2009
LinMin is probably the easiest IT product I've ever installed and used. It performs as advertised. Highly recommended for hosting companies and data centers in general.
LinMin is a very nice program, it’s easy to install, fast to configure and working like a charm. on 6/11/2009
I use it in our University, and deployed a complex heterogeneous (Windows and Linux) environment in a couple of days: · Internet Security and Acceleration Server running on Windows 2003 server SE 32 bit. ·DHCP server running on Windows 2003 server SE 32 bit. ·A webserver and a mailserver working on Linux. ·LinMin CentOS 5.3 Linux x86_64 server providing images Thanks, LinMin Steven V.
Very impressed on 6/10/2009
Jason, our system administrator downloaded a trial today to test, and this looks exactly what we need as opposed to other bloated products. Very impressed. R.E. Deputy Director, Metro 911

With LinMin, we reduce labor costs, human error and elapsed time on 6/5/2009
Razor Servers and LinMin worked closely together to augment LinMin Bare Metal Provisioning with capabilities ideally suited to web hosting companies and IT organizations with heterogeneous data centers and limited personnel. With LinMin's new 'fire and forget' provisioning business rules, we reduce labor costs, human error and elapsed time in getting new Linux and Windows servers online. Matt Kelly, CEO of Razor Servers, a Philadelphia-based dedicated hosting company.
LinMin works very well for provisinioning and imaging in our data centers on 5/20/2009
We use LinMin extensively in our three hosting data centers for provisioning and imaging our Linux and Windows servers. We are now implementing LinMin’s application programming interface (API) to enable FiberHosting customers with dedicated servers to control their systems from the bare metal up. This increases customer satisfaction and reduces our own operating expenses.
Helps us be nimble with a smaller data center on 5/13/2009
We have about 100 Intel-based servers in our dedicated server hosting data center. We often switch the OS from Windows to Linux and back a few days apart, when customers need more dedicated systems on short notice. Don't know how we could survive if we did this by installing the OS from CD or DVD!
LinMin works well for system builers on 5/11/2009
We're an Intel system builder. We got LinMin to replace a home grown tool to install the OS after assembling the systems with Intel motherboards. A tech can select what to install from the system on the production line; easy to use. Good imaging features and hardware inventory of each system.
LinMin is rock solid on 5/11/2009
We've been using LinMin for about a year now. We bought it because of price, but implemented it broadly because it really is a very solid IT infrastructure tool.
